Project Management Office
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and implement a Project Management Office strategy
- Manage the Project Management Office and all related activities
- Ensure that project management principles are adopted and applied across Video Entertainment
- Drive successful execution of projects
- Input into the units’ policies and standards
- Provide guidance and leadership in executing projects
- Ensure projects are managed through the project life cycle and ensure that the relevant quality gates are implemented
- Develop and ensure Implementation of control documentation for divisional projects
- Ensure the management of project risk registers, project plans, and quality plans for assigned projects
- Ensure that projects are delivered within budget, timeline, and client expectation.
- Effective management of Video Entertainment Project methodology and supporting software systems
- Ensure effective control over projects and programs
- Regularly feedback on the progress of projects
- Management of project meetings, attendance, and minutes, for assigned projects
- Monitor and report on the operational risk matters
- Implement internal control measures to ensure good governance
- Manage risks to protect organisational integrity, create value, prevent financial loss and ensure compliance with applicable policies and legislations
- Monitor and report on Occupational Health and Safety issues
- Review and implement Risk Management Plan
- Implement execution internal risk audits identified and address gaps
- Foster relationships with business partners through collaboration, coaching, educating and appreciating of business priorities
- Collaboration with EPMO on project management standards, policies, and procedures
- Manage relationships to support efficient content delivery
- Contract and Manage Performance Management of the team/s in accordance with organizational policy and procedures
- Manage adequate staffing for workload, succession planning and effective leadership
- Effective briefing and communication with department staff
- Personal Development Plans (PDP) for all staff members
- Provide direction on the retention and attraction of staff
- Individual coaching, counseling and mentoring conducted on an ongoing basis to meet performance needs
- Individual coaching, counselling and mentoring conducted on ongoing basis to meet individual development needs
- Transfer of skills in line with succession planning best practice
- Conduct training and build capacity to ensure the effective management of projects and the effective administration of projects
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Commerce, Engineering or Sciences Qualification (NQF 7)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMBOK or Prince II)
- Broadcasting Knowledge & Media industry exposure will be an added advantage
- 5 years Project Management experience (Must have held the position of Project Manager previously)
- 3 years of which should have been in Operational Management experience
- Knowledge of financial systems and processes
- Computer literacy
