Digital Marketing Manager

Rage has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Department at our head office in Modderfontein.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the execution of online marketing strategies, campaigns, and promotions for the retail division.  Plan and execute strategic digital marketing campaigns with the Marketing Manager to build a positive brand reputation and grow the online community while increasing online turnover. Work closely with Graphics department to develop creative and manage the process from inception to execution.  Ensure that deadlines are met.

Duties & Responsibilities

ECOMMERCE WEBSITE

  • Plan, implement and manage digital marketing campaigns that increase sales in store and online and aligns with the brands in-store strategy.
  • Compile detailed briefs for the graphic designers, when needed to create artwork for the website and manage the output thereof in terms of deadlines, changes etc.
  • Managing the process and timelines for the uploading of products onto Shopify. Ensuring deadlines are met and products online are all correct. Working closely with graphic designers and marketing coordinator to ensure task is complete.
  • Oversee and assist with online product descriptions that align with Meta specifications to ensure a successful integration of Shopify and Meta Commerce Manager.
  • Facilitate the selection of product display images listed on the website and compile editing notes for the designers to ensure products are optimally showcased.
  • Continuously updating the brands Shopify site to improve overall user experience and usability by researching and implementing suitable updates.
  • Compile detailed briefs for the external developer on new website developments.
  • Report on a weekly and monthly basis to analyse and improve the effectiveness of website marketing strategies.

SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

  • Create detailed weekly and monthly content calendars for all Rage social media platforms.
  • Manage and execute the social media content calendar by generating, editing and sharing engaging content daily, across multiple platforms (e.g. creating original text, photos and videos suitable for the target audience)
  • Create content using Canva, own photography and videography, brief designers on any other content creation.
  • Design and implement social media strategies to align with in-store campaigns and overall brand objectives.
  • Use Meta Business Suite to implement and manage paid social media campaigns.
  • Propose and monitor budgets for all digital campaigns, set specific objectives, analyse running campaigns and report on ROI.
  • Report on a weekly and monthly basis to analyse and improve the effectiveness of social media marketing strategies as well as the overall performance of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee the customer care agents and their responses on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, ensuring that they are responding timeously, correctly and on brand. Occasionally compiling training documents to assist them.
  • Research and implement current online, social media and promotional trends to ensure that Rage is innovative in what we do.

EMAILERS

  • Create detailed weekly and monthly content calendars for all mailers.
  • Manage and execute the email marketing calendar and ensure it aligns with in-store brand objectives and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Develop strategies that grow the subscriber database with different mailing lists in line with the POPI Act.
  • Creating engaging copy that maximises open rate and click through rate of mailers (e.g. creating original subject lines, mailer copy and CTAs).
  • Compile detailed briefs for graphic designers to create engaging emailers that promotes traffic to both stores and the website.
  • Copy editing of all mailers.
  • Schedule several emails per week using Mailchimp.
  • Report on a weekly basis to analyse and improve the emailer performance reports that includes the open rate, click through rate, conversions, revenue, subscribers, bounce rate, etc
  • Provide regular campaign performance reports to analyse and improve the effectiveness of mailers including open rate, click through rate, conversions, revenue, subscribers, bounce rate, etc.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or relevant field
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a digital marketing or advertising position
  • Working knowledge of Social Media advertising as well as understanding metrics
  • Efficient in Canva/ Design programmes
  • Efficient in Shopify
  • Efficient in WordPress
  • Efficient in Mailchimp
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Innovator and a real go-getter
  • Photographic and videographic skills beneficial
  • Ability to multitask and meet various competing deadlines
  • Excellent time and project management skills, must be able to work under pressure
