We are very excited about the new catering concept to be launch at Lloyds Banking Group Harbourside, Bristol. The new food offer fits into a brand-new look and feel for the whole office building.

Our amazing food offer will consist of a Pizza station, Rotisserie station, daily “Pop Up” hot counter concepts, Premium Grab & Go range, and a Fresh Baked Good Chef’s table. All of which is showcasing suppliers from our “50 Mile Local Larder”.

As our Sous Chef, you will be the heart of the kitchen and restaurant. Using fresh ingredients to create daily Gather & Gather menus. Overseeing hospitality menus and bookings for daily client meetings. Working very closely with our Head Chef, and supporting with the coaching and development of the team around you. Building strong customer and client relationships. Supporting with the managing of all financial aspects of the business to ensure all catering targets and budgets are achieved.

Location: LBG Harbourside, Bristol City Centre, BS1 5LF

Rate of pay: £26,000 per annum

Working pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday: 7 am – 3.30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan menus that are in line with client and customer expectations
  • Prepare and oversee all preparation of food to the highest standard ensuring food is seasonal and where possible sourced locally
  • To seek customer feedback during service and use the information to develop the food and food service offering in the relevant site
  • Maintain a professional and friendly image with the client and customers
  • Work effectively with all colleagues to ensure excellent customer service
  • Plan menus and prepare food in order to minimise wastage
  • Ensure that budgetary targets are achieved on site through a thorough understanding of GP, GP%, selling price, cost price, margin, mark up and calculation of menu costs through recipes.
  • Responsible for undertaking weekly and monthly stock takes and to coordinate stock ordering for the operation
