Our client in the Insurance industry with offices based in Bryanston is searching for a qualified Accountant join their finance team. Remote working from home for 4 days a week and one day normally on a Thursday at the office.

Critical requirements:

  1. Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
  2. Two-to-three years’ post-article experience
  3. Accounting firm background with experience in all the above key performance indicators as well as audit experience
  4. Pastel Partner and Pastel Payroll experience
  5. Microsoft Office
  6. Bookkeeping up to trial balance
  7. Experience in all SARS statutory requirements, calculations, and submissions
  8. Afrikaans and English speaking (Fully-Bilingual)
  9. Female candidate

Key performance areas:


  1. Daily and monthly customer invoicing
  2. Monthly Customer Calculations
  3. Sending out customer invoices and statements on a monthly basis and maintaining the customer control list
  4. Debt collection
  5. Customer account reconciliations


  1. Supplier capturing, processing, reconciliation, and payment

Bank and petty cash

  1. Bank processing and reconciling on a daily basis and closing off at month-end
  2. Assistance with petty cash requirements, reimbursement and reconciliations


  1. Management & Employee Buying requests
  2. Electronic Filing
  3. Assistance with finance requests for telephone lines, marketing invoicing, and all other finance related tasks
  4. Maintenance of the fixed asset register and insurance schedules
  5. Assistance with implementation of processes and procedures
  6. Airtime Allocations
  7. Adhoc Finance related requests from


  1. Assistance in audit file preparation

Management reporting

  1. General Ledger maintenance
  2. Assistance with monthly management accounts
  3. Assistance with balance sheet reconciliations
  4. Loan Accounts


  1. Assistance with payroll processing and administration


  1. Assistance with monthly, bi-annual, and annual statutory returns (VAT, EMP, Provisional Tax, Income Tax, Dividends Tax, Employment Equity, IRP5 reconciliations, Workman’s Compensation)
